Boat Transportation to Azul Paradise Resort
Your journey to paradise begins in Bocas Town on Isla Colón. Because Azul Paradise Resort is located on Isla Bastimentos and is accessible by boat, it’s important to plan your arrival transportation in advance.
Daily Scheduled Boat to the Resort
Azul Paradise Resort offers ONE scheduled boat transfer per day from Bocas Town to the resort.
Bocas Town → Azul Paradise Resort
Departure: 3:00 PM
The boat departs from our dedicated Azul Paradise dock in Bocas Town and travels directly to the Azul Paradise Resort dock on Isla Bastimentos.
Please note: Our scheduled boat does not depart from the airport, another hotel, or a public water-taxi dock. Guests must make their way to our designated dock in Bocas Town for the 3:00 PM departure.
Travel time is approximately 35 minutes, although conditions on the water and weather can affect travel times.
Resort Check-In
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM.
If you arrive in Bocas earlier in the day, we actually recommend making the most of it! Instead of waiting in town for check-in, we can help arrange a Bocas del Toro island tour or excursion and have your tour captain drop you directly at Azul Paradise Resort at check-in time.
It’s a wonderful way to turn your arrival day into your first day of vacation.

Departure from the Resort
Azul Paradise Resort → Bocas Town
Departure: 8:30 AM
Our scheduled departure boat leaves the resort beach/dock by 8:30 AM for Bocas Town.
If you have an earlier flight or need to be in Bocas Town before the scheduled departure, please arrange a private boat in advance.
Private Boat Transfers
Need transportation outside our scheduled boat time?
Private boat transfers start at $199.00 and can be scheduled based on availability.
However, if you’re arriving early, we highly recommend considering a tour + resort drop-off instead. Rather than paying simply for a private transfer, you can spend the day exploring Bocas and have your captain deliver you directly to Azul Paradise Resort when it’s time to check in.
